About a year ago Courtney started using Twitter. This is when she was given the opportunity to be a product reviewer for Peekaboo Picks, an online magazine for hip moms. She then started Giftfully Simple in February 2009, The Digital Mommy in May 2009 and Detroit Mommies in August of 2009.

All of her efforts have paid off. Courtney was able to attend BlogHer ‘09 after securing seven sponsors to help with the expense of the trip to Chicago. She worked with her sponsors by promoting their brand before, during and after the event. The biggest payoff from attending BlogHer was the relationships she solidified during the three day event.
Max Moms

By meeting the friends she has made from online social media sites, opportunities that select bloggers have been invited to be a part of have come Courtney’s way. Just recently she was chosen by Office Max and Mom it Forward to be a “Max Mom”. She was a part of a heartfelt campaign that raised much needed supplies for teachers that go above and beyond and could use the help to supply their classroom. She was also asked by Mom it Forward to be one of their ambassadors for the Detroit area.

Courtney planned and launched a charity event with Johnson’s and Johnson’s to raise money for Autism Speaks and was asked by e.l.f. to have a makeup party to help spread the word of their affordable and quality makeup.

Courtney uses multiple forms of media to help promote the companies she works with such at vlogging, blogging and whrrling.  She uses Facebook, Twitter and her blogs to spread the word about the products she has tried and enjoys using.

Courtney was recently given the opportunity to do a segment called, “Mom Invented Products” for Fox News Detroit.  After doing the segment, Fox saw the potential in this segment and has asked Courtney to do future segments.  Courtney has an Easter segment planned and many more to come.
